Arsenal legend Ian Wright is worried about one of the current players at his former club after the game with Southampton in the Premier League last night. Ian Wright revealed his worry about young Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka who has been in sensational form for the Gunners this season. Ian Wright spoke about Bukayo Saka while he was on Premier League TV. According to Ian Wright, the workload and the creative burden on Nigerian-born England international Bukayo Saka is too much. Ian Wright also mentioned other Arsenal players like Thomas Partey and Emile Smith-Rowe. Ian Wright pointed out that both Smith-Rowe and Parteywent off withcramp during the Southampton game which ended in a 3-1 victory for the Gunners.

  Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has singled out defender Gabriel Magalhaes for praise after the Gunners continued their recent poor run in the league with a defeat at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers. According to the Arsenal legend, Gabriel Magalhaes was the only player who tried to make things happen for the Gunners during the game and that the Brazilian centre back is the only shining light in a very poor Premier League campaign until date. Ian Wright was speaking to Premier League productions shortly after the game played at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening. The ex-England international was visibly not happy with the display from the Arsenal players as the club slumped to a third consecutive league defeat at home following the 2-1 loss to Wolves.

  Arsenal legend Ian Wright defended Matteo Guendouzi’s reaction in his clash with Brighton star Neal Maupay. Ian opines that the Arsenal stars need to ‘fight’ more in games rather than accepting whatever happens. The Gunners lost their second straight game since the league resumed. They had crashed 3-0 to Manchester City but the game against the Seagulls was expected to end in victory. However, goals from Lewis Dunk and Maupay cancelled Nicolas Pepe’s earlier goal.

Arsenal have turned the corner since the appointment of Mikel Arteta as manager, much to the admiration of Arsenal legend Ian Wright. Wright, 56, who scored 128 league goals in 220 appearances for Arsenal is delighted with the way Arteta has changed the atmosphere of the club since taking over.

Arteta was appointed to replace Unai Emery in December 2019, the results have not been rapid, but slowly the belief is back in North London, and the former Pep Guardiola right hand man is uniting the playing staff with the fan base once again.

Cottee Helped Ian Wright Playing for Arsenal

Tony Cottee, who is remarkably known for his performances in West Ham United, Leicester City, and Everton, has recently revealed that he was very close to signing the contract for Arsenal in the year 1988 for a move that would have seen him in place of Ian Wright. Ian then played for Crystal Palace and the Gunners were very much interested to take up him. He also explained how he planned to ruin the move for Ian Wright to the club before he joined the Everton. Wright became the record goal-scorer for the Arsenal club in the future and Highbury legend too. Tony said some of the fans for Arsenal have asked him the reasons for not choosing Arsenal at that time. In reply, he said that if he would have signed for the club then, they would not have seen the performances by Ian Wright because he would not have signed the contract for the club.  He stated that there were 50-50 chances for him at the Gunners. He could have done a lot of things for the club or could have simply got injured and not play any of the matches for them.

Arsenal are confident of completing the transfer Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Wiegl according to reports from Germany. Sport Bild revealed that the German side has informed the Gunners that they would need to spend close €30 million to secure the signing of the midfielder.
