MANE DIDN’T DESERVE CRITICISMS – IAN WRIGHT

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has disclosed that Liverpool fans were not right for criticising Senegalese international Sadio Mane for his performances this season. While speaking on his Wrighty's House Podcast, Ian Wright said he has seen some Liverpool fans criticised Mane for underperforming this season and he was surprised at the criticisms. Premier League and Arsenal legend Ian Wright has urged his former club to conduct a smart transfer business in the summer, and he has also suggested a player they should sign as well. Ian Wright also mentioned other Arsenal players like Thomas Partey and Emile Smith-Rowe. Ian Wright pointed out that both Smith-Rowe and Parteywent off withcramp during the Southampton game which ended in a 3-1 victory for the Gunners.

Arsenal have turned the corner since the appointment of Mikel Arteta as manager, much to the admiration of Arsenal legend Ian Wright. Wright, 56, who scored 128 league goals in 220 appearances for Arsenal is delighted with the way Arteta has changed the atmosphere of the club since taking over.

Arteta was appointed to replace Unai Emery in December 2019, the results have not been rapid, but slowly the belief is back in North London, and the former Pep Guardiola right hand man is uniting the playing staff with the fan base once again.
