Former professional English player and football commentator, Ian Wright says former player, Thierry Henry will be the perfect replacement for The Gunners. Wright who played for seven years for the English team backs the Frenchman to head the coaching crew at the emirates.

Thierry Henry just completed his UEFA coaching badges and Ian Wright says he is the one to replace Arsene Wenger when he finally retires from the club.

“Thierry has got his badges, jump in, jump in. If you can’t get a Pep, which we can’t – Arsenal fans wouldn’t want Mourinho for whatever reason – if Thierry is ready to go and he can get the backroom staff, get it done,” Wright said. The leading goal scorer for Arsenal received his UEFA ‘A’ coaching badge last month. This means the former skipper can lead the coaching crew below EPL level or a youth team.

The television and radio personality also commented on other issues. He asked that Louis Van Gaal believe more in the youth in his Manchester united squad. He said if he were at the helms of affairs at the club, he would drop Matteo Darmian and Marcos Rojo. Ian said he favored youngsters, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson due to their style of play and contribution to the team.

Fosu-Mensah replaced Rojo in the crucial match for The Red Devils where he provided the cross that led to the lone goal aside a good defensive outing. The win keeps Manchester United hopes alive as they are fifth with a point behind rivals, City.

Wright told The Sun: “I think the players have to take some form of credit for it, especially the way it’s been changing around with the youngsters that have come in. I believe now, people like Darmian, Rojo, I say get them out. I’d play Fosu-Mensah. I’d play Borthwick-Jackson. I’d play Fosu-Mensah on the right and Borthwick-Jackson on the left, with Luke Shaw to come back. I say put the faith in the youngsters.”
