French star Alexandre Lacazette has been compared to a former Arsenal striker Ian Wright. The former Lyon star had incredible scoring stats in the Ligue 1 but he remains underrated. The Emirates Stadium move is one that would help him establish international credence while helping the club with the much needed goals to excel in its title chase. Arsenal paid a record £52 million for his services and he is expected to impress. Ian Wright was also a high scoring player during his days. Wright scored 185 goals, siting in second place in the club’s goalscoring chart behind Thierry Henry. “I know about Ian Wright very well. I’ve never seen him play but if I am compared to him that is great. If I have a career where fans think of me like they do about Ian Wright then I’ll be very happy. “I have arrived at a very special club, a very good club who are very organized. With the other players in the team, there are very high levels so it is a great opportunity for me to improve,” the player said.

Arsenal star Jack Wilshere is expected to return to the club after his loan deal this term at Premier League side Bournemouth. The England midfielder fractured his leg as the current campaign winds down. The club manager Eddie Howe did not let the season end before he stated that the star would not return to the team. “I think it’s going to be really difficult for us. We wish him well for the future,” Howe said on Wilshere coming back to the setup after his injury on a permanent deal. The Gunner played 27 league games for the Cherries this season. He did not get a single goal but he helped the team with two assists. The 25-year old played five times from the bench as he tried to avoid injury this season. Bournemouth lost 4-0 to Spurs in April. The heavy defeat was not the only problem but that Wilshere would not be able to contribute to the late season rush. He joined from the north London side in August on loan as Arsene Wenger wanted him to get regular play time elsewhere and develop.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has revealed that his ultimate career ambition is to manage his former club, though he would not hold out for it. The former French striker is currently assisting Belgium manager Roberto Martinez while he retains his role as a Sky Sport pundit. The ex-player is ready to be patient for the role as he desires it but he could not hold out for it. “Everyone thinks I dream of Arsenal. Yes. But it’s just a dream. How could I be pretentious enough to think they’ll have me? I’m just starting. I’m trying to became a coach. I’ve no pretence to know where I could go one day. I’ll go where I’m wanted,” the Premier League legend said. Henry played at Arsenal from 1999 to 2007, scoring 174 goals in 254 games. He played at Barcelona before he ended his career playing in the MLS for New York Red Bulls. His focus is on developing his football managerial skills and helping young talents develop.
Soccer Pundit Ian Wright is mad at statement of West Ham United playmaker Dimitri Payet. The France international recently admitted that he was open to the idea of going back to his former club Marseille in his home country. The Euro 2016 star said: “Marseille have a new project which seems interesting. Marseille know how attached I am to the club. When I talk about it, I say the best possible thing, because that is what I think, so why not.” This made the former Arsenal star blast Payet. Wright opined that Payet’s comments would anger West Ham fans, adding that he “thinks [Payet] is out of order coming out to say stuff like that.” “I think what you see with his is somebody that, up until this point, has obviously had an attitude problem and a consistency problem. Now that we are seeing a little bit of consistency from him, he is holding West Ham to ransom,” Wright added.
